Run custom test

Creating and running a custom test can be done from the Run Custom Test link in the Testing section, as shown in the image below.

Click the Run Custom Test button, as shown above, will take you to the screen below:

MyConnectionServer Run Custom Test overview
Tests Overview

If you have any custom tests already set up then they will appear in the first section, custom tests. To run a custom test simply click the run test link next to the test name. You can also modify, disable/enable or delete custom tests using the links to the far right.

To create a new custom test enter a unique test name (something that makes the type of test easily identifiable is recommended) into the text box at the bottom of the page and clicking the create test button.

This will bring you to the page shown below:

Creating a new custom test

The page is split into two sections, testing and monitoring.

NOTE: The monitoring section can only be used in conjunction with a remote agent.

The selection process is fairly simple. Check the boxes next to the tests you want to include in the custom test and then click save test to save the test.

As you check a test type a show options link will appear which allows you to change the parameters used for each test. An example of this is shown below:

The example above for the MyCapacity test allows you to choose if you want to perform both download and upload tests or how long you want the test to last for etc. The settings help you to adapt a test to certain network/Internet environments.

NOTE: For a closer look at the individual test configurations please see the "Configure xxx" manual options in the menu above

If you have chosen more than one test then you can choose which order they are run in. This section will appear below the list of tests and will look similar to the image below:
