MyConnection MyIPTV Test

To get to the MyIPTV Connection test click the MyIPTV link in the testing section of the main GUI. This will open a page as shown in fig 1 below:

To start the test click the "Click to start test" button as shown in fig 1 above.

The MyIPTV test performs packet jitter and packet loss tests for left audio, right audio and video/HDTV Each criteria is plotted separately as shown below in fig 2:

In the example above the results are very poor with all plots appearing towards the red end of the scale.

The two extra tabs shown above are Summary and Advanced. These appear after the test has completed.

Graph Tab

The graph tab is shown below in fig3:

The graph tab plots the Jitter and Packet loss expereinced during the IPTV test against each packet that was sent out during the test.

By hovering your mouse over part of the graph, as shown by the red line in the image above, you will get a small pop up box stating the exact jitter and packet loss for that stage of the test.

You can also plot the Left and Right audio jitter graphs using the plot drop down menu, shown at the bottom of fig 3 above.

Summary Tab

The summary tab is shown below in fig4:

The Summary tab gives you an overview of the IPTV results. The circular colored indicators are designed to give you a quick understanding of how the test went, in the case shown above you can tell that the IPTV results are considered good.

Advanced Tab

The advanced tab is shown below in fig5:

The advanced tab is designed to give you a run down of the metrics returned during the IPTV test.
