Publishing a test to an Access quality testing server or NetQCheck Satellite Server

Step 1

This tutorial assumes a test has already been published to MyConnection Server.

Published tests appear in the /www/publish directory of MyConnection Server, as shown on the right.

Each published test has an associated bin file. The bin files are located in the /www directory of MyConnection Server, also shown on the right.

Step 2

Both the bin file and the html file for the published test need to be copied.

The destination of the copy depends on whether the test is for an Access Device of a NetQCheck engine.

If the test required is a gauge view speed test click here as the process is different.

Access Device

Copy the bin and html files to the /www/hbss/default folder.

NetQCheck

Copy the bin and html files to the /www/nqc/default folder.

Step 3

This completes the process.

The Access Device/NetQCheck engine should pick up the changes within a minute.

If not simply restart the device/engine.

If the process has been successful the new test name will appear in the help section of the Access Device/NetQCheck admin console.
