Broadband speed testing, multi-media connection quality testing, network route performance analysis
MCS NetworkCenter gives you the tools you need to test remote connections for bandwidth speeds, multi-media connection quality, and network routing. Easily customize and combine testing processes to provide browser-based connection testing to your customers, partner and end-users.
MCS NetworkCenter includes automated testing and alerting capabilities to proactively manage
broadband performance and quickly troubleshoot connections problems from remote customers, partners or data centers. The combination of Remote Test Agents and Satellite Servers extend testing capabilities so you can perform
unattended connection tests between remote locations and capture the results to the MCS server, as shown below.
Remote Test Agents can be deployed to remote customer desktops to interactively troubleshoot connection problems, and to remote data centers to continuously test and monitor connection performance. Satellite Servers can be deployed to multiple points on a global network to act as target testing sites for remote agents. |
MCS NetworkCenter Key Features
- MySpeed tests bandwidth speeds and connection quality
- MyVoIP tests connections for VoIP call quality
- MyVideo tests connections for Streaming Video picture and sound quality
- MyIPTV tests connections for IPTV picture and sound quality
- MyRoute tests network routing and performance
- Automated Remote Testing
Easily perform automated network testing from remote systems -- see the network path and performance originating from a remote customer desktop or remote data center, to your application server or other location. Remote Test Agent can be used with Satellite Servers extend MCS with an effective means to measure broadband performance between
multiple remote locations, with all test results recorded to your MyConnection Server database.
- Satellite Servers
Satellite Servers act as target testing servers for Remote Test Agents, enabling you to perform connection tests to different locations from Remote Test Agents. Unlimited Satellite Servers can be created and deployed, the MCS control panel provides easy web-based administration.
- AlertAdvisor
Get instant notifications by email of poor test results, so you can quickly identify network issues and restore service. Alerts can set for browser-based tests and Remote Test Agents.
MCS Key Features:
- Browser Connection Testing
Each MCS network testing application enables you to host connection testing services on your website, providing on-demand testing services between your end-users and the MCS server. The MCS applet may be served via the built-in web server, or through your existing third party web server such as Apache or IIS. MCS includes unlimited connection testing via the browser.
- Centralized Database with browser access
Get visibility to end-user connection performance and quality, all MCS test results for your customers, results are logged in a server-side repository with web-based access, useful for help desk environments and troubleshooting network issues. Various reports are included, or create your own template for custom reports. Graphical reports display detailed data flow of each test to better identify the cause of poor performance problems such as network throttling or network congestion.
- Customizable Display enables self-branded connection testing portals
The MCS browser-based connection tests are performed via Java applets, which can be easily incorporated into your own web pages with your messaging and branding. You can create multiple web pages utilizing the same Java applet, with customized HTML, JavaScript, or different applet configurations to provide different views and behaviors as desired.
